An approximation. LinkedIn renders the feed differently across devices.

Using it well

How to format a LinkedIn post without making it unreadable

Select the words you want to change, choose a style, check the preview, then copy the finished text. The formatter changes the characters in the text itself, so the style stays when you paste it into LinkedIn.

What the preview is for

LinkedIn truncates longer posts in the feed. Use the preview and character count to see where a reader may hit “more” before you publish. It is an approximation, not a claim that every device renders the feed identically.

Use styled text sparingly

Bold, italic and underline effects use Unicode characters rather than LinkedIn rich text. That can be harder to read with screen readers, search, or copy-and-paste. Use them to emphasise a short phrase, not to turn the whole post into decorative soup.

Keep a plain-text version

The plain-text copy option removes the styled characters while preserving your words. It is useful when you need an accessible version, want to reuse the post elsewhere, or decide the formatting has become too much.
